David Hein | Vice President
David Uchida | Director of Operations
David Uchida joined the Oki Golf team in 2002 after 13 years with Nordstrom Inc. and 2 years as the Director of Operations with the Seattl Sounders. His initial role was to centralize our membership and tournament sales programs. Shortly after, David was promoted to General Manager of The Plateau Club from 2002 to 2010 and then to General Manager of The Golf Club at Newcastle from 2010 to 2015. In April 2015, David was promoted to his current role of Director of Operations, where he oversees operations at all of our properties. He was born and raised in the Seattle area and attended the University of Washington.
Kathryn Duszynski | Director of Marketing
Kathryn has served as the Director of Marketing at Oki Golf since April 2017. She has been in the marketing and communication industry for 22 years, beginning her career with Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus and Disney on Ice. She currently manages our marketing, communications, and tournament sales team efforts. Her passion lies in partnership development, brand building, and managing integrated teams. Prior to joining Oki Golf, Kathryn spent 10 years at Redbox and Coinstar in various roles in brand marketing, partnership management, and shopper marketing. Her strong background in relationship-building led to the development of some of the most successful programs in company history. Prior to that, she managed the marketing and community events at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. Kathryn is a native of the Seattle Area, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community Health and Marketing from Central Washington University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as cheering on the Seahawks.
Maria Vertes | Director of Human Resources
Maria is a Human Resources Executive with 25 years of experience. Her passion is providing HR solutions for her clients by helping them build their HR infrastructure through people, compliance, and technology. Maria also enjoys consulting with early stage ventures and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining Oki Golf, Maria held several corporate HR leadership positions in Food & Beverage with Chef Emeril Lagasse and Levy Restaurants, Retail with Bed Bath & Beyond, Harley-Davidson, and professional services organizations like Deloitte.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR, SHRM-SCM). Maria is an active member of many prominent HR organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), both on national and local levels, and the EMA.
Maria enjoys spending time with her family, reading and watching classic movies. She has three children and three grandchildren. Maria also enjoys mentoring up-and-coming HR professionals, where she shares her knowledge and passion for HR.
Glenn Hirai | Special Project Manager / Director of Purchasing
An integral part of the Oki Golf team, Glenn Hirai is responsible for providing oversight and management of development projects, creating and maintaining building and property maintenance plans, and providing building and property management functions at the Oki Home Office, seven championship golf courses, and other real estate holdings. Prior to joining Oki Golf, he was a project manager / team lead for the Bellevue, WA based architecture firm, MulvannyG2 Architecture, where he managed commercial projects nationally and internationally. His experience includes master planning, design, construction management, feasibility and development analysis and program management. Glenn holds a Bachelors of Architecture degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
